public class StringEncrypter2
extends java.lang.Object

A utility class that provides string encryption and decryption functions that are based on AES algorithms.

This class is a modified copy of the com.dpslink.base.util.StringEncrypter2 class. The modifications include removing references to the base Profile and Util classes and replacing the references with other alternatives. This class typically resides on the ERP system and therefore doesn't have access to the base Profile and Util classes, which reside on the Flash server.

The result of executing the methods in this class are intended to be exactly the same as the results obtained from the base StringEncrypter2 methods.

Method Detail

decrypt

public static java.lang.String decrypt(java.lang.String s,
                                       java.lang.String iv)

Decrypts the given string. The string must have been encrypted by the encrypt method of this class. Returns the same string if the cryptography classes are not installed.

Parameters:

s - (String) The string to be decrypted.

iv - (String) The initialization vector that was originally used to encrypt the string.

Returns:

String - The decrypted string.

encrypt

public static java.lang.String encrypt(java.lang.String s,
                                       java.lang.String iv)

Encrypts the given string. The string must be decrypted by the decrypt method of this class. Returns the same string if the cryptography classes are not installed.

Parameters:

s - (String) The string to be encrypted.

iv - (String) The initialization vector to use for encryption.

Returns:

String - The encrypted string.

getRandomIV

public static java.lang.String getRandomIV()

Returns a random generated initialization vector.

Returns:

String - The initialization vector.

isCryptoInstalled

public static boolean isCryptoInstalled()

Answers if the cryptography supporting classes are installed.

Returns:

boolean - true if the cryptography classes are installed, otherwise false.
