Order Status Summary

The Order Status Summary window allows you to retrieve and view current order status information from the production system.

Using this status inquiry feature requires a connection to the DPS PocketFlash™ synchronization server, similar to the Synchronize With Server function.

When a request for order status information is submitted, a connection to the server is established.  The connection remains open until the Order Status function is exited.

Order status information is retrieved from the server in a two-step process.

1. The first step occurs when a request for order information is submitted.  During this step, order summary information is obtained from the server and then displayed in the list area of this window.
2. The second step occurs when a specific order is selected in the list.  During this step, the details for the selected order are obtained from the server and then displayed on the Order Status Detail window.

Data Fields

• Type of orders
  Required.  Dropdown selection.
  Select the type of orders to be retrieved.  You may choose to retrieve all orders or just open orders.
• Placed within past
  Required.  Dropdown selection.
  Select the age of the orders to be retrieved.  You may choose to retrieve orders placed within the past 30 days, 60 days, 90 days or 90+ days.
• Sync password
  Required.  20 characters max.
  Enter the same password that you use for Synchronize With Server.
  • Your entered password is retained only while you are within the order status function; it is not stored in a file or otherwise saved.  When you leave the order status function, your entered password is discarded and must be reentered the next time a connection with the server is required.

The list area of the window displays 8 orders at a time.  The most recent orders are listed first.  You can navigate forward and backward through the list by using the vertical scrollbar that appears to the right of the list.  The horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of the list can be used to shift the columns of data to the left or right for viewing.

List Columns

• Order #
  Displays an order's number or id as assigned by the production system.
• Date
  Displays the date an order was created.
• Req. Ship
  Displays an order's requested ship date.
• P.O. #
  Displays the customer purchase order number associated with an order.
• Total
  Displays an order's total value.
• Status
  Displays an order's status (Open, Shipped, Invoiced, Canceled).

Actions

• Tap on an order in the list to select an order.  The details for the order are then retrieved from the server and the Order Status Detail window is displayed for the selected order.
• Tap to submit your request for order information.  The summaries for the requested orders are retrieved from the server and then displayed in the list.
• Tap to return to the window that was displayed prior to this window.  If a connection to the server is open, it is now closed.
• Tap to stop the retrieval of order data.  This action is only available while data is actually being received from the server.
• Tap Actions > Set Dialup to go to the Set Dialup Connection window to verify or change your selected dialup connection.
• Tap Actions > Show Messages to display a scrollable list of the status messages generated during retrieval processing.  This action is not available if the list of messages is already being displayed.
• Tap Actions > Hide Messages to hide the scrollable list of the retrieval status messages.  This action is not available if the list of messages is already hidden.
